Sam Wick was a Partner at United Talent Agency and Head of UTA Ventures, and is a leading digital and entertainment executive. Working across media, consumer products and experiences, UTA Ventures both builds and invests in businesses. UTA Ventures works across the agency and with our clients, and partners with visionary founders to manifest their ideas, fuel their passion, and grow their companies. Ventures is also the investment arm of UTA.
Prior to UTA, Sam was EVP & GM of Enterprise at Maker Studios, which was acquired by Disney for over $500 million. Before Maker Studios, he was SVP of Marketing & Programming at MySpace and VP of Strategy & Corporate Development at Platform-A, AOL’s advertising business. Sam began his career at Sony’s Columbia Records and went on to become VP of Content & Community at MP3.com where he managed 4 divisions of 40 people in programming, content acquisition, legal, business development, marketing and product. The role included oversight of Mp3.com's user base (over 12MM+) and artist community (100,000+ artists, 700,000 songs).
